To do that, we have come up with ten wellness tips that we swear by from the perspective of waxing specialists. Exfoliate Not only is exfoliation great for waxing prep, it’s also great for your skin! Exfoliating 1-2 days before your wax will leave you with the perfect base when getting a wax. Exfoliating removes dead skin cells and reduces the chance of ingrown hairs, leaving you with smoother, softer skin! Hydrate Inside and Out Hydration is so important when improving overall wellness. Staying hydrated will improve your mood, keep your skin glowing, and increase energy. Although it’s important to stay hydrated from the inside, it’s important to stay hydrated from the outside as well! Always moisturize your skin to give it that soft, glowy look. Analise is one of our waxing specialists at the location in Chesterton. She joined the Waxi Taxi team in April 2022 as an office assistant. After graduating early from Chesterton High School, she began her journey as an esthetician at Tricoci University of Beauty. She earned her esthetician’s license in June 2024 and became a waxing specialist. All About Analise What was your journey to becoming a waxing specialist? Was there a defining moment that confirmed this was your calling? “I started working at the Waxi Taxi my sophomore year of high school as an intern during the week and working on the weekends. I continued at The Waxi Taxi through high school until I graduated mid-term in 2023. Shortly after graduating, I began my training at Tricoci University in Highland, Indiana. June of 2024, I graduated, received my license, and have been waxing since the day after graduation! A defining moment for me is when a client is so happy after a wax and is so appreciative of the work that I do. I feel very lucky to work in the field that I do, and I am so grateful to be able to service all my wonderful clients.” Outside of your professional life, what hobbies or interests might surprise your clients to learn about you? “Outside of work, a hobby of mine is working out. I enjoy going to the gym with my friends in my free time.” If you weren’t a waxing specialist, what alternative career path might you have pursued? “If I weren’t a waxing specialist, I would definitely pursue a nursing career.” How would your closest friends describe your personality, and how do those traits benefit you as a waxing specialist? “My closest friends would probably say I'm patient, detail-oriented, bubbly, and good at making people feel comfortable. These traits help a lot in my job as a waxing specialist because it's important to be gentle, precise, and create a relaxing and comfortable environment for my clients.” Client Connections What’s the most meaningful client relationship you’ve developed, and how has it impacted your approach to your work? “The most meaningful client relationship I’ve formed is one that started a bit before I got my esthetician’s license. It was my second year interning at the Waxi Taxi, and one of our long-time clients was expecting her second baby and needed a sitter. I have now been watching her girls for two years. This relationship has shown me how much it matters to build those client relationships.” What’s a common client interaction that always makes your day brighter? “A common client interaction that always makes my day brighter is usually when a new client comes in and right away tells me they love the space we have and how they feel so safe and comfortable, even though they are nervous.” What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learned from a challenging client experience? “The most valuable lesson I've learned from a challenging client experience is that communication is key, and also learning that it’s okay to set boundaries.” What aspect of waxing do you feel most passionate about that clients might not expect? “I’m super passionate about how waxing can really boost someone’s confidence. I love seeing how much better they feel after their wax!” How do your personal values influence how you run your business and interact with clients? “Honesty and empathy are super important to me. I try to be upfront about what to expect during waxing and genuinely care about making each client feel comfortable and respected.”

It is a celebration of women, allowing them to look and feel beautiful and confident. Amy Paris describes the event as a “movement” that encourages women to step into their light, share their stories, and celebrate who they are. The photography session is customizable and tailored to each client. Clients are able to choose between a beauty session with soft glam, timeless portraits, and a touch of elegance, a branding session that shows professional power and personal confidence, a boudoir session that is moody, sultry, and playful, or a mix of all three. Clients are in complete control of what photos are shared. Each participant must agree to share at least two photos. If clients prefer to keep their boudoir photos private, a few fully-clothed portraits can be arranged at the beginning of the session. The Magazine And Gala After the campaign is finished, Amy Paris creates a printed magazine featuring each of the women. The magazine will include a picture of the women and their stories. The Gala is an elegant event for the women that takes place after the photoshoot. The women are encouraged to bring an adult female friend of their choice to the Gala as their guest. The best part? The Gala benefits Girls On The Run Northwest Indiana, an organization dedicated to helping young girls in the community build confidence, connection, and strength.
