The First 24-48 Hours:

- Keep the waxed area clean.
- Take a warm, not hot, bath with Epsom Salt after your service.
- Wear loose, breathable clothing to reduce friction.
- Apply soothing, alcohol-free products. We also have our beloved aftercare products, which have been formulated specifically for post-wax aftercare, that you can purchase at Waxi Taxi. If you’re not sure about a product you love, ask your waxing specialist if it is okay to use it post-wax.
We’d Avoid:
- Taking hot showers, baths, or use saunas/steam rooms.
- Go swimming in pools or hot tubs.
- Engage in ALL activities that cause excessive sweating and friction.
- Apply perfumed products, deodorants (for underarm waxing), or makeup (for facial waxing)
- Expose the area to direct sunlight or tanning beds.

Regular Exfoliation: Begin gentle exfoliation 72 hours after your waxing service. Use an exfoliating mitt/gloves 2-3 times weekly to slough away dead skin cells that can trap hairs beneath the surface.
Hydration Is Key: Keep skin moisturized with non-comedogenic, fragrance-free moisturizers. Well-hydrated skin creates a smoother surface for hairs to break through.
Get That Long-Term Glow:
The Sweet Spot for Rebooking: For best results, schedule your next appointment 4-6 weeks after your last service. This timing ensures that hair is at the optimal length for removal and helps train your hair growth cycles over time.
At-Home Care Between Appointments:
- Continue regular exfoliation 2-3 times weekly.
- Moisturize daily.
- Avoid shaving between appointments—this can disrupt the hair growth cycle and reduce the effectiveness of future waxing.
