As a small, woman-owned business, we understand the importance of giving back and supporting our community. Every appointment you booked last year did more than support Waxi Taxi; it helped support our community!
In 2025, we made it a point to show up for our community in ways that mattered. Our work went beyond just the salon, whether it was donating to local causes, volunteering our time, or filling boxes during food drives alongside our neighbors. This blog post is a little look at what giving back looked like for us last year, and how a small business can make a big impact when community is at the heart of everything we do.

Our Community Food Drive
During the holiday season, Waxi Taxi, in partnership with a few other small businesses in our community, held a food drive raffle to donate to local food pantries and shelters for the unhoused. We held two food drives, one in November and one in December, with three raffle winners for each month.
With the support of our clients, staff, and partners, we were able to collect and donate food and essential items to local organizations working to fight food insecurity. It was a reminder that when a small business and its community rally together, simple acts like dropping off a donation make a real difference.
The Importance Of Giving Back
Giving back is an essential part of who we are as a small business, and we’re incredibly grateful to be able to support the community that supports us. Every appointment, referral, and kind word helps make our donations, volunteer efforts, and community initiatives possible. As we look ahead to 2026, we’re excited to find new ways to give back, deepen our local partnerships, and continue showing up for our community in even bigger and better ways.
